ak-science is a sole proprietorship based in Tokyo, Japan, that develops iOS and Android apps. We create and publish original apps that dig deep into subjects we love, such as food culture and music, and we also develop, migrate and maintain apps for small businesses. Our strengths are iOS experience dating back to 2011 and Flutter for building both platforms from a single codebase.

Original apps
We plan, develop and publish our own apps on the App Store and Google Play. Following our sherry catalog Sherry Select, we are developing new apps, including music and synthesizer apps.
Revive and migrate legacy apps
We port old apps written in Objective-C or Swift to Flutter, update them for the latest OS versions and resubmit them to the stores. iOS-only apps can be brought to Android as well.
New apps for small businesses
Catalogs, menus, store guides, membership cards and more. Offline operation and multilingual support come as standard.
Maintenance and store operations
Annual OS updates, responses to store policy changes, content updates and minor fixes, on a monthly plan.

Sherry Select
A catalog app for sherry, the fortified wine of Andalusia, Spain. It features 64 sherries selected under the supervision of a sommelier, each with a label photo, style, region and bodega. Available in Japanese, English and Spanish, and it works fully offline.
